Tax Resolution and IRS Litigation, United States
Beating the IRS is impossible, until it's DUNN!
At The Dunn Law Firm, LLC., we provide the following legal services.
TAKE IT TO TRIAL: If you need help with Tax Court, an Audit, or Reducing Liability, call us at (770) 696-6274.
The Dunn Law Firm is prepared to represent you anywhere in the US for Federal Tax matters. In a previous position, our founder advised the IRS (and the US Department of Justice) on many tax matters. The Dunn Law Firm is more than a tax law firm; we do what others can't.
FRAUD PENALTIES: Has the IRS claimed that you committed fraud?
Prior to resigning from the IRS Office of Chief Counsel as Senior Attorney, our founder was the point of contact for fraud in the OCC's Downtown Atlanta office. The Dunn Law Firm can fight to prove that the IRS's allegations are errors.
CIVIL PENALTIES: Has the IRS charged penalties that you would like reversed?
The Dunn Law Firm is ready to stand up against the IRS so that you can sleep at night. We have handled HUNDREDS of cases that included disputed civil penalties, so we know what it takes to fight them.
Book a consultation through the website or give us a call at (770) 696-6274 to schedule a consultation with a former IRS attorney.
IRS COLLECTION: Has the IRS filed or threatened liens and levies for taxes that you may owe?
Tax liens and levies ruin lives. If your bank receives a garnishment notice from the IRS, the bank will freeze your account and send your money to the IRS. Under certain circumstances, the IRS can even take your home. Fill out an intake form or schedule a consultation today! Do something to stop the IRS from collecting all of your worldly possessions!
RESOLVE TAX DEBT: Are you interested in paying your outstanding taxes to the IRS (hey, some people do it) but don't know where to start?
The Dunn Law Firm can help you with pursuing what the IRS calls a "payment alternative." You could be eligible to pay a tax amount lower than what you owe, or pay nothing at all! Call or text us at (770) 696-6274 or schedule your FREE consultation today by clicking Book a Consult!
TRUST FUND RECOVERY PENALTY: Has the IRS notified you about the TFRP?
The Trust Fund Recovery Penalty ("TFRP") is no joke. If the IRS finds that you did not send your employees' taxes to the IRS, you will be held liable, personally. The IRS will begin to take your money, property, and whatever else they are legally allowed to take from you. We are prepared to stand between you and the Internal Revenue Service. Schedule a consultation or submit an intake form immediately.
LETTER FROM THE IRS: Are IRS notices keeping you up at night?
You cannot duck and hide from the IRS. As a former IRS Senior Attorney, I (Attorney DeVon Dunn) can tell you, with absolute confidence, that the IRS will find you and everything you own - even if you transfer money or property to someone else. Book a consult with us so that we can resolve the situation. We offer flexible bookings 7 days a week. An attorney is available to discuss your case virtually, over the phone, or in-person. If you prefer a date and time that does not appear on the calendar, please text or call us at (770) 696-6274.
ADVICE FOR CPAs AND PREPARERS: Are you an accountant or preparer that could benefit from some attorney research?
The Dunn Law Firm is here for you! If you can see yourself benefitting from an attorney reviewing an issue prior to you communicating information to your client, give us a call at (770) 696-6274.
ZELLE AND CASH APP REPORT THE MONEY THAT YOU MAKE: Did you receive income from a Third Party Payment Processor?
Third-Party Payment Processors ("TPPP"), like CashApp and Zelle, are on the rise. The IRS makes errors when processing payments made using TPPPs. The Dunn Law Firm is here to help when the IRS increases your taxes due to income reported by a TPPP.
INNOCENT SPOUSE RELIEF: Did you recently find out you're responsible for your former spouse's tax mishaps? Call us immediately.
"Innocent spouse relief can relieve you from paying additional taxes if your spouse understated taxes due on your joint tax return and you didn't know about the errors." - IRS.gov
I'm sure the relationship (and termination of the relationship) was dramatic enough. We've seen the issue time and time again. Spousal abuse is real. Financial abuse is real. The consequences of not knowing what was on the tax return, which has your signature, can land you in a world of stress and debt. We can take over from here. Call us at 770-696-6274.
MISSING RETURNS: We offer our network of tax professionals to you so that you can get a fresh start.
Sometimes life gets in the way and we fall behind. If you need help catching up on your tax returns, it is completely understandable and we are here to point you in the right direction. When our founder was an attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, he witnessed thousands of taxpayers struggle with compliance issues. One of the most important boxes to check when resolving a problem with the IRS is "compliance" which includes filing your missing returns. Call us today, fill out a contact form, or schedule an appointment from our website.
PERSONAL INJURY: If you've been hurt due to no fault of your own, give us a call!
Every day, drivers are injured while traveling on Georgia roads. At the same time, insurance companies pay out PENNIES to the victims. At The Dunn Law Firm, our first step is to ensure you receive the treatment you need to get on the road to recovery; then, we make sure those responsible pay!
We are ready to help you.

Attorney DeVon D. Dunn, founder of The Dunn Law Firm, started practicing law in 2015 as a student attorney; attorney Dunn was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2018. Attorney Dunn has extensive experience in federal tax controversy, personal injury, and criminal matters.
While studying at Emory University School of Law, attorney Dunn represented juveniles charged with criminal offenses as a student attorney in DeKalb County, Georgia. Attorney Dunn also provided assistance to United States Veterans who were having trouble securing VA benefits and felons who needed help with getting their civil rights restored after being released from supervision (probation, parole, and imprisonment). Attorney Dunn’s performance in law school and his dedication to tax law led to him being one of few to attain a position with the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service’s honors program. The Office of Chief Counsel for the IRS has the responsibility of representing the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service.
After graduating from Emory Law, attorney Dunn became an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel’s Atlanta office, which ranks second amongst states with tax controversies before the United States Tax Court (after Los Angeles). Attorney Dunn has represented the Commissioner of the IRS before the U.S. Tax Court in over 300 cases and advised the IRS and the United States Department of Justice on several matters. While working with the Office of Chief Counsel, attorney Dunn collaborated with Low Income Taxpayer Clinics throughout Georgia, resolving tax matters for low income taxpayers; these experiences inspired him to provide similar services to low income taxpayers in his private practice. Following the lead of its founder, The Dunn Law Firm has implemented a "low bono" program for taxpayers who would see a greater benefit from the firm's services by way of a reduced flat fee for simpler tax court issues.
Prior to leaving the Office of Chief Counsel, attorney Dunn served as the point of contact for fraud-related issues in the Georgia-Florida-Alabama area. Although attorney Dunn prefers litigating in federal Tax Court, he is also an Emory-certified “deal lawyer” and is therefore prepared to resolve issues without the need of trial when doing so would benefit his clients. After resigning from his position as Senior Attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, attorney Dunn integrated tax controversy and criminal law representation into his personal injury firm.
Attorney Dunn understands the importance of establishing connections between the nuances of law and the complexities of life and he prioritizes listening to his clients to ensure he understands their needs. Attorney Dunn aggressively handles and litigates his cases. Attorney Dunn prides himself on being an advocate for all of his clients no matter the size of the case. Whether it be an injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident or arguing a tax issue before a federal judge, attorney Dunn uses his experience as a former IRS Senior Attorney to obtain the best results for his clients.
Attorney Dunn is barred in the U.S. Tax Court, Georgia Supreme Court, and the District Court of Northern Georgia. In addition to his experience in U.S. Tax Court, attorney Dunn also has experience resolving tax matters with the Georgia Department of Revenue and the California Franchise Tax Board. Attorney Dunn is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. Attorney Dunn obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Savannah State University and his law degree from Emory University School of Law. Attorney Dunn has served as a mentor to Emory Law students and Savannah State University students and continues to sponsor college tours for his community.
The Dunn Law Firm is founded on true experience, by a true tax attorney, with real Tax Court experience, and is therefore committed to standing up to the IRS on your behalf.
Attorney Dunn resides in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys cooking, spending time with his family, and playing basketball.
